Online Reading

I know from personal experience that sometimes when I read things online it is a lot harder for me to understand what I am reading, however, if I print off what I need to read for some reason I can understand it much easier. This is not to say that when you read online that you are not getting just as much information as you are from a book. Many more people may like the idea of reading online, you can get more information in faster time, shortening the time required reading, and gaining information. Many classes use computers on a daily bases, in my previous english classes I was required to go online and use online sources for research papers. Nine times out of ten in high school when we went to the library for a class it was to use the computers not the books. Using books is becoming less and less for school and learning activities and more for just entertainment and passing the time.

Cell Phones

Cell phones are taking over. Walk into a crowed room, look around and pretty much all you see is people staring down at their phones texting or checking their facebook. We are stating to loss face to face communication, even just talking on the phone is becoming to much effort for many people. Why call someone and talk when you can just text them. Calling and talking on the phone is much more personal than just sending a text, which may be why many people do not like it, it is too socially akward for them, too many awkward pauses in conversation, you can hear the tone of peoples voices, and they may just not know what to say and talk about. However, if you text someone and do not know what to say. Later when the person asks you, you can make up an excuse and say something like "oh sorry my phone died, oh sorry I fell asleep, or even sorry I didn't see the text."Basically moral of the story is we are loosing means of communication with cell phones.

Karma

I am a big believer in karma. It is the circle of life. Everything you do has a consequence, an action and reaction. Karma in this case is the reaction. If you treat a person with little respect, karma will come back to bit you in the butt. Even with little things karma will come after you. This happens to me daily. Today for example my room mate Sara hit her arm on the door when she was walking into her closet. Immediately I busted out laughing at her, now don't get me wrong she was laughing too. It was a funny situation, and of course not long after that karma came after me. She had previously been going into her closet to change and get ready for the day. Walking past her closet, and not paying attention I walked smooth into her open closet door.  Of course, she busted out laughing at me saying, "karma!"

Karma also comes in bigger packages. These however, sometimes take longer to be delivered. I'm still waiting for the day when I can see karma go and bite a certain people I know in the butt. I will not get into much detail about the things, I'll just say this. If you make a promise, follow through with it. Do not expect to be treated with respect if you are not willing to treat people the same way. You can not treat people poorly and expect to get away with it. Whether you choose see karma when it comes or choose to look the opposite way, it will still either way come and show you how things are in the real world.

Just remember...how people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours.
